Melanie is a Development Consultant at BETCO Housing Lab, where she assists in site selection, affordable housing funding applications, and post-award requirements. Since 2011, Melanie has built a comprehensive career in affordable housing, starting with a private multifamily developer, where she compiled competitive tax credit applications and aided all phases of site acquisition, land development, construction, lease-up, and property management.

 

She then broadened her expertise at Westlake Housing, an affordable property management company with 5,000 units nationwide, where she contributed to a full range of activities in property management, construction, and compliance.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. A proud Texan, she enjoys baseball, country music, crossword puzzles, and cheering on the Longhorns.
