TY MYRICK
Development Consultant
Ty is a Development Consultant with BETCO Housing Lab. He works with developers who are looking to use state and federal housing dollars to build affordable housing. Ty uses his knowledge of state and federal regulations to help clients put together winning applications for competitive affordable housing programs. He helps clients select winning sites, compile detailed applications, structure financing, close deals, and keep projects in compliance.
Ty has worked for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and the Texas Legislature, as well as in the private sector. Most recently he wrote proposals for Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP in response to state and local government RFPs.
Ty holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas Tech University. Ty is originally from Dumas, Texas. He now lives in Buda, just south of Austin, with his wife and morkie Bailey. He enjoys books, tacos, cigars, and scotch.

Ty worked as an economic and research analyst for the Texas Comptroller. There he managed data and publications and assisted local governments with their incentive programs. He helped cities develop their economic development portfolios and establish economic development corporations, tax abatements, and tax increment financing to attract business and residents and fund infrastructure. He worked in the Compliance division of TDHCA.
