Ms. Gonzalez is a Senior Development Consultant with BETCO Housing Lab. In this role she strategizes site selection for clients, works with debt and equity providers to ensure a timely closing, and assists clients with post award activities. Her career in affordable housing began in 2011 working for a multifamily affordable housing developer. Ms. Gonzalez's responsibilities included analyzing potential developments for competitiveness, negotiating site acquisition, determining project feasibility, submitting applications to state agencies, coordinating meetings with political representatives and neighborhood stakeholders. She also worked with the construction and management teams from ground break to lease up to ensure timely delivery of buildings.  During her time as a Development Manager, Ms. Gonzalez worked in Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, and Virginia.

 

After working as a Development Manager, Ms. Gonzalez worked for JPMorgan Chase as a Commercial Banker. She was responsible for originating construction loans for affordable housing developments in the central United States. She helped clients finance residential and commercial developments using housing tax credits, historic tax credits, new market tax credits and various other financing sources. Ms. Gonzalez has experience working with funding sources such as the Housing Tax Credit Program, HOME program, AHP Program, and others.

 

Juli is originally from Del Rio, Texas. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008.
