Roger brings over 30+ years of experience in both the conventional and affordable housing industries. For the past 15 years, Roger served as Director of Development for Prospera Housing Community Services (Housing and Community Services, Inc.). During this time, Roger worked on over 15 Tax Credit deals, and over 13 other types of Deals including HOME, CDBG, Trust Funds, Local Funds, Hurricane relief funds and a few others.  Roger previously served as HUD’s Section 8 Contract Administrator for Texas, Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation, in the Compliance and IT departments, and has worked on the development of affordable property management software with IPM-Software. Roger started in the industry as a Leasing agent of a conventional complex in Houston.  Over the next few years working his way up to a manager position. After several years in the industry, Roger decided to spend a year serving as a member of the AmeriCorps Foundation, assisting high school drop-outs receive their GED, adults improve their literacy, and teaching English to immigrants seeking citizenship status. Roger received his Economic Development Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council. He is also a licensed Commercial Drone Pilot.

Roger is married to Karen Canales and has one son, Ramonne Canales, who played collegiate football at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Roger was born and raised in Houston and is a big fan of all Houston sports including the Astros, Rockets, Texans and Dynamos.  Roger is also loves playing sports and still plays softball, tennis and golf.

Lora Myrick's experience with state and federal program rules allows her to put together a concise and complete application package ensuring compliance with all required rules and regulations, while allowing for creative approaches to increase the likelihood of receiving funding. 

Roger has extensive construction management experience, including assisting clients with site selection, application packaging, construction management, and physical inspections.
